Suicide Squad Movie Details

Suicide Squad

A few months ago Warner Bros revealed their DC Comics movie schedule. I didn’t report it because I think they’re just copying Marvel and DC movies, except Christopher Nolan‘s Batman trilogy, are not very good. One of the movies that caught my attention though was the Suicide Squad movie, planned for Summer 2016.

Now they’ve revealed the cast for the movie and you won’t believe who’s in!! The movie will be filled with A List stars and it looks really good. I’ve never read any comics, but the storyline is very interesting. For those of you who don’t know what the Suicide Squad is, it’s a group of villains hired by the US Government to work for them so they have prison privileges or their sentences reduced. Check out the cast below!  Continue reading

[•REC] 4 Review

REC 4

I’m not a big fan of Spanish cinema, but I love horror movies and this saga is amazing!! I can’t believe it’s already been 7 years since the first movie came out and scared the shit out of everyone from Spain and many countries. It was so successful that it even had a Hollywood remake called Quarantine. I always prefer the American versions of horror movies, like The Grudge or The Ring, but in this case I really recommend you to watch the original version!

The second movie wasn’t as good as the first one, but did explain lots of things and why everything happened. It also had a very unexpected ending so it was really good too. Then the third one was an awesome action/zombie-killing movie but it lost the essence of the first two movies so I wouldn’t count it as part of the saga. I really loved it though!  Continue reading

The Little Mermaid 25th Anniversary

Today 25 years ago my favorite Disney movie and one of my favorite movies of all time was released. I’ve said it many times and I will never get tired of saying it, in my opinion, The Little Mermaid is the greatest animated movie ever made and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since I first watched it as a kid.

I don’t know what it is that makes this movie so magical. Maybe is that I live in an island and I’ve always admired the ocean and of course I love everything related to magic creatures like mermaids. But I don’t know if my love for all those things came before or after watching this movie.  Continue reading

Top 10 Animated Movies

Spirited Away

A few days ago I told you how much I love horror movies and that it’s one of my favorite movie genres, but my true favorite movies are the animated movies! I was thinking about my favorite animated movies and it was very difficult to choose only ten to do a Top 10, but I did my best to put some of what I consider the best animated movies there are and put them on this list.

I’ve always preferred traditional animation and I don’t like that it’s being forgotten nowadays. There’re not many new traditional movies today, everything is on 3D and CGI, which is great too, but I just prefer traditional, I find it more special, maybe because I love drawing and hope to become a good illustrator.  Continue reading

Top 10 Horror Movies

Drew Barrymore - Scream

I really like Halloween, but I don’t get why people celebrate it here in Spain. It’s not a Spanish tradition, it’s just an excuse to get drunk and dress up. In Canary Islands we already have Carnaval to do that and to be honest it’s one of the best festivities we have!!

Like I said I really like Halloween and I like watching all the decorations in movies and TV shows, the costumes that celebrities wear and all that stuff, I like to watch it as an outsider and not celebrating it because it’s not part of my culture. So, unlike many others I prefer staying at home and watch horror movies.  Continue reading

Top 10 Horror Movie Deaths

Drew Barrymore - Scream

Yesterday I read an article about the most memorable deaths in Quentin Tarantino movies online. I really liked it and it inspired me to do this list of horror movie iconic deaths in perfect timing for Halloween. I chose the scenes that are most memorable from some of the most iconic horror movies of all time as well as some deaths that really shocked me from some less known or underrated movies.

I decided to choose only one death per movie or franchise, otherwise Final Destination would take all spots on the list, haha. Some of these horror movies were really bad, but I think that’s a positive thing for me, I really like bad horror movies, they’re very very entertaining.  Continue reading

Top 10 Readheads in Hollywood

Jessica Rabbit

I personally think readheads are the most beautiful women on Earth and there’re plenty of beautiful and talented actresses in Hollywood so this list was particularly difficult to make. It’s been a long time since I made my last Top 10, but I’ve been very busy keeping up with my classes after my trip to New York!

I decided to choose only natural born redheads or actresses who have become famous because of her red hair and not actresses who have dyed their hair for a movie like Scarlett Johansson for Avengers or Kirsten Dunst for Spider-Man. So, here’re my Top 10 Redheads in Hollywood!!  Continue reading

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For Review

Sin City - A Dame To Kill For

I finally got to watch Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. First of all I want to say that I’ve been 8 years waiting for this movie and I am so mad that it wasn’t released to Spanish cinemas. They are saying it’s because it flopped in the USA box office, but I think there’s more than that. It can’t be a coincidence that the last three movies Robert Rodriguez has done, Spy Kids 4, Machete Kills and now this one, didn’t make it to the cinemas here. If that was the case, many movies wouldn’t have come to Spain, not only this one. I think there’s something happening, but nobody seems to care as much as I do.

Anyways, going back to the film, I have to say that I really enjoyed it! I waited until I found a medium quality link to watch it online, because I refuse to wait until the DVD or Blu Ray comes next year, I think I’ve waited enough time!!  Continue reading

The Purge: Anarchy Review

The Purge: Anarchy

I just watched The Purge: Anarchy and I have some mixed feeling about it. I really liked the first movie, but there was something missing on it. I think the idea of this movies is excellent and has a lot of potential. In this one they exploited that potential a little bit more and gave more depth to the plot and we finally get to see what happens to regular people and not only the rich ones.

I love that we get to see the differences between social classes and how they spend the Purge. I also liked how they reflect today’s society in this alternative universe and how these new Founders of the USA use this supposedly “purifying” night to their own benefit getting rid of the poor people.  Continue reading

Top 10 Robin Williams Performances

Robin Williams

This is such a tragic day, the world has lost a very talented and amazing human. I’ve loved Robin Williams almost since I was born. He was one of my childhood heroes, I haven’t seen all of his movies and I haven’t seen his best performances, but I’ll always remember him for movies that made me laugh and made me love this great actor.

I think many of my favorite movies as a child were Robin Williams movies and this tribute list to him is not about his best performances in terms of good acting, but as the great entertainer he was. He touched the souls of many kids from my generation and probably he will continue to do it to kids from newer generations. Continue reading

Top 10 Disney Songs

One of the best things from Disney movies are the songs, I think we can all agree with that. I think what was missing in most of the latest Disney classics was the music, but thankfully they’re incorporating it again and as we can see in Frozen, it’s coming better than ever!

There’re too many great Disney songs and I think everybody has their own favorites, so I decided to make my Top 10 list here.

Top 10 Tarantino Women

Memorable-Tarantino-List

Tonight I decided to do a Quentin Tarantino marathon I ended up watching only Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, but those are my favorites! I know it’s not his best movie, everybody knows that is Pulp Fiction, but I really love Kill Bill and it’s my favorite movie of all time!

One of my favorite things of Tarantino movies are the powerful, kick-ass and, of course, beautiful female characters he creates. It’s difficult to say which Tarantino lady is the best, but I’ll try to pick my 10 favorites!
