Rumors have been floating that Halle Berry, Famke Janssen and James Marsden were going to be replaced in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse movie. I didn’t believe it, because of how X-Men: Days Of Future Past ended. It fixed all the mess that The Last Stand left and I was very happy that the original cast was coming back.
However, the director Brian Singer announced yesterday that a new generation of actors has joined the cast of Apocalypse to play the roles of Storm, Jean Grey and Cyclops. I don’t know wether they will replace the original cast or they will be playing younger versions of the characters, I hope the second.
I have to say that, although I prefer the original cast, I’m quite happy with the choices they made here. Check the casting for these mutants below! Continue reading →
One of my most successful posts or at least one of the most viewed was my list of this year’s most sexiest women. Like I explained in that post, for me being sexy is not just having a great body with big boobs and an amazing butt. For me sexy is a personality thing, is an attitude. A good sense of humor or a badass attitude are way more sexy than a woman with a big ass.
That’s why I do my list every year where I pick the 100 sexiest women in the world based not only in those qualities, but also in their work every year. Maybe one actress is hotter than other, but she hasn’t done a movie in two years, that makes her go down on the list. Or a singer with no new music or presence in the media will go down as well. I’ve been waiting for this movie for a long time and I have to say I’m a little bit disappointed. I’m not surprised though. It’s just a pretty mediocre TV movie and Aaliyah deserves much more than this. Her family wasn’t on board with this project and that was a huge turn off for me, I wanted to respect their will but at the same time I wanted to know a little bit more about her.
I’ve said this before, I love Aaliyah and she’s one of my favorite singers ever, but she wasn’t as huge in Spain as she was in the US and the rest of the world, so I didn’t really knew her until she died. I don’t know to what extent this movie is true but that’s the main reason I watched, to get to know her a little bit more. Continue reading →
There’s been a lot of controversy around Aaliyah‘s name lately. Lifetime is planing to do a TV movie about the late singer, but production has been put on hold because her family wanted the movie to be in theaters and not on TV, so they wouldn’t give them the rights of Aaliyah’s music. Also fans were upset about their choice, Disney Channel star Zendaya to portray her.
I have to agree that I don’t really like Zendaya, in fact, I don’t really like any of the Disney starts from today. I guess it’s because I didn’t grow up with them, but I find them all annoying.
I hope Lifetime and Aaliyah’s family get to an agreement, because I was really hoping to see this movie. Unfortunately Aaliyah was not so popular here in Spain and I didn’t know of her until she was already dead. I remember first heard of her when I watched her movie Queen Of The Damned.
