I know it’s already been five days since Mariah Carey‘s new album Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse was released, but I’ve been very busy this week and I haven’t have time to review it properly. That doesn’t mean I haven’t been listening to it nonstop.

It’s been almost five years since MC last released an album, it’s been a long wait with some failed singles in the way, but it was worth it. Mimi comes back stronger than ever with this new album full of gorgeous ballads and her best Hip Hop side. You can see this album was for the fans and she doesn’t care about the sales or the charts, she doesn’t even need to care, she’s Mariah Carey, she’s had all the success that she needs and more so she can do whatever she wants now.

Maleficent Review

New-Maleficent-Banner

I just came home from the cinema. Maleficent was finally released and I had to go to the premiere. It wasn’t what I expected and I had some mixed feelings through the film, but I really loved it.

I really liked most of the changes they made, but in some aspects I preferred the classic Disney version of Sleeping Beauty. Still it’s great to watch both sides to the story.

Angelina Jolie was amazing as Maleficent. She looked gorgeous with those cheekbones and when she laughs she looks just stunning. I also loved Juno Temple‘s performance as one of the three good fairies, or may I say the three dumb fairies, haha. She was hilarious as always.

Top 10 Walt Disney World Rides

This morning I was feeling a little nostalgic and I decided to take a look at my last year’s Walt Disney World photos. It was the second time I’ve been there, first time was in 2001 when I was 9 years old.

walt-disney-world-icons-1000x450

It was very different from the first time, they had this New Fantasyland, which I fell in love with, but where I noticed the most differences was in the merchandising and stuff they sell now. Back in 2001 they had everything from every Disney movie and now they only have stuff from the new movies, Pixar movies and Disney Channel shows.

What I didn’t like at all was that they didn’t have any The Little Mermaid, Pocahontas or Sleeping Beauty merchandising, they only had Disney Princess stuff and everything was pink or sparkly, I could only get an Ariel keyring, but it was sparkly…

Anyways, I did have a great time because I could enjoy all the rides that I was afraid as a kid and the new ones they have. So here’re my Top 10 Walt Disney World rides from the four Disney Parks: Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Epcot. Find out below:

Michael Jackson – Xscape Review

10289871_10152246684786696_4461797526696916387_n

I finally got time to listen to Michael Jackson‘s posthumous album Xscape. The songs don’t have a strong connection between each other, it’s more like it was a compilation album. I guess it’s because the demos they used are from different eras. Like I said in the post I did when the album was announced, the only thing I don’t like is the cover, that picture is awful! They could’ve used any other Michael photo for the cover.

As I predicted, the original demos are way better than the new “modernized” versions, thank god they included them in the album! I really like the single version of Love Never Felt So Good with Justin Timberlake though.

Top 10 Disney Movies – Part 2

I remind you this list does not include Pixar movies or other Disney features, just Disney Classics!

Top 20 Best Dressed – MET Gala 2014

Last night one of my favorite fashion events took place, the MET Ball Gala. What I like about this event is that, not only that it’s full of A list celebrities, but that it’s not a typical red carpet, it’s all about the costume.

Since I couldn’t find many good fashion choices in my last red carpet posts and last night was full of amazing looks, I decided to do a Top 20 list with my favorite outfits instead of my regular Top 10.

So here we start.

20. Kirsten Dunst

Ok, I know this isn’t the most beautiful dress in the world, but like I said the Met Gala is about costume and Kirsten looked amazing in this Rodarte Star Wars inspired gown. I also love that she took a risk with it and that it’s totally unexpected. If only it was May the 4th and not 5 de Mayo, she was a day late for Star Wars day!

19. Zooey Deschanel

This look may be a little boring, but I love this blue Tommy Hilfiger gown. She looks great and I love the white train detail!

18. Naomi Campbell

Queen Naomi looked flawless! I love everything about her Givenchy gown and the feathers look great on her too.

17. Leighton Meester

The Gossip Girl actress looked incredible in this Emilio Pucci golden dress. I love her matching golden shoes too, she looks like an Egyptian Goddess.

16. Idina Menzel

The Frozen star looked like a swan-princess in this Donna Karan Atelier gorgeous gown. Just flawless!

I love mermaid dresses and this one by Zac Posen is perfect. I love the cream and red contrast and she just looks so classy in it. Love it!

14. Zoë Kravitz

Lenny Kravitz’s daughter look perfect in this Topshop silk dress. Though it was a little risky, she almost shown her intimate parts, I like the way it fits and I just love all the neck straps. Plus she looks great blonde, right?

5. Rachel McAdams

Pink was one of the hit colors last night and, though it’s not Wednesday, the Mean Girls actress looked so fetch in this pink Ralph Lauren gown. If you’ve read my other fashion posts you’d know I love simple dresses and this one is just perfect!

4. Rihanna

Just when I thought she couldn’t be any sexier she puts on this outfit, DAMN! It was the night of crop tops and the singer looked banging in this Stella McCartney matching white top and skirt. The only thing I’m not loving is the hair, but it isn’t bad either. My favorite thing of this outfit is the back, check it out in Kate Bosworth’s picture! Good job RiRi!!

3. Emma Stone

STUNNING! The Amazing Spider-Man actress looked gorgeous in this Thakoon two piece. As I said before it was the night of the crop tops and pink dresses and Emma did it just perfect! Again simplicity always wins.

1. Karolina Kurkova

Impressive!!!!! This is why I love this event, this is what I was waiting to see. Karolina well done!! The supermodel looked more than amazing in this Marchesa blue gown with hand-painted flower decorations (or at least that is what it looks like). The diamond necklace is gorgeous and the hair and make up are just flawless. Well done!! I’m in love with this look, it’s one of my favorite MET ball outfits ever!!!

Top 10 Disney Movies – Part 1

10521400_720400931328267_1634529133_oI’ve been wanting to make this post for a very long time, but I didn’t know how to divide the Disney movies in two. I mean, it’s impossible to choose only 10 movies, all of them are beyond awesomeness so I wanted to divide it in two posts so I could chose 20 like I did with the 90s jams and the 2000s hits.

So I decided to divide them in centuries. This part will consist in movies from the 20th century, from Snow White to Tarzan and Part 2 will contain movies from the 21st century, from Fantasia 2000 to Frozen.

Michael Jackson’s Xscape Details

michael-jackson-xscape

Yesterday Michael Jackson‘s duet with Justin Timberlake Love Never Felt So Good was released and I like it a lot! I wasn’t very in favor of this project, but I like the stuff that have been coming out so far. I loved the song that was leaked last month and shares the album title Xscape and I like this duet with JT.

Album producer and Epic Records CEO L.A. Reid said that the album will consist on previously unreleased songs recorded by the King of Pop. He says the songs have been “contemporized”, which I hated, but then I was so happy to find out they’re releasing the original versions with the deluxe edition!

Mariah Carey Announces Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse

10157376_10152377316462766_6095786143294534888_n

OMG!! Mariah Carey announced today the title, album covers and release date of her 14th studio album. I’ve never been so excited for an album release in a looooong time!! It’s called Me. I Am Mariah… The Elusive Chanteuse and it comes from a self-portrait that she drew when she was only 3 years old.

It’s set to be released on May 27th (less than one month!!!) and you can already pre-order on iTunes both standard and deluxe editions.
