Off for a while!!

Hey guys I’m coming with bad news. I have too many things going on with my classes and now we have to start with the final project and I’m very stressed out. We’re creating a blog for my Digital Design class and it has to be from Blogger and not WordPress, plus it has to be in Spanish.

I can’t keep up with two blogs so I’m going to have to stop posting on this one for a while. If you are still interested in the stuff I regularly post here you might want to check out my other blog. If you don’t speak Spanish you can use the translator on the bottom of the page.

Check it put here: http://pabloperezz-drownedworld.blogspot.com.es/

It’s been a great experience writing this blog and sharing my taste in music, movies, comics, fashion and everything with you. Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy my other blog as much as this one!

Madonna – Living For Love

Madonna has finally released the official music video for Living For Love, the first single of her upcoming album, Rebel Heart. The album is coming March 10 and I can’t wait to listen to all the new songs. Remember she already released six songs due to the leaks of her demos and they’re all amazing so this album looks great!

In the new video she dresses up as a bullfighter as a critique to the human being, for being the cruelest animal on earth. At the end of the video she quotes Nietzsche and I really liked what she did with it. I completely agree with what she’s saying and denouncing in this video and I think visually it was amazing too. Watch the full video below! Continue reading

Rihanna – FourFiveSeconds Music Video

Just a week after premiering the first single from her upcoming album, known as #R8 in social media, Rihanna has released the official music video for the song. Like I said in the post that I wrote when the song was released, I didn’t like it much at the beginning, but I have to admit that, after listening to it a few more times, I’m really loving it now.

The music video is really cool. It shows us the singer’s softer side, it’s natural, vulnerable and very raw. I love the direction she’s going with this album and I can’t wait to listen to it completely! Check out the music video for FourFiveSeconds below! Continue reading

FourFiveSeconds – Rihanna (Feat. Kanye West & Paul McCartney)

FourFiveSeconds - Rihanna

Good news to all Rihanna fans all over the world! The singer dropped yesterday what seems to be the first single of her upcoming eighth studio album rumored to be called #R8. The song is a collaboration with rapped Kanye West and british legend Paul McCartney.

I’m very shocked with the song and I still don’t know wether I like it or hate it. It has a big country influence and that’s what turns me off. It’s a ballad with very simple instrumentation and though I love Riri’s vocals on the song I don’t like Kanye’s singing voice. I think he’s a good rapper and I love many of his Rap songs, especially his previous collaborations with Rihanna, but this one is really weird in my opinion! Continue reading

Britney Spears tops Billboard’s Best of 2010s (So Far) Polls

Britney Spears has demonstrated she’s still got it and she’s still relevant. She’s won over big stars like Beyoncé or Rihanna on Billboard‘s Best of 2010s (So Far) polls. They chose a list of 10 best songs, best albums, best music videos and most defining artist of this first half of the decade and readers voted their three favorites.

The results are in and Britney is on top of three of the four lists. She won best song with Till The World Ends, best video with Work Bitch and most defining artist of the decade (so far). Haters gonna hate, but Britney is still the Princess of Pop and she’s still one of the most influential artists of all time. Check the full lists below!  Continue reading

Top 20 Madonna Singles + Rebel Heart Track List

Madonna has revealed the full track list of her upcoming album Rebel Heart. I’m loving the six songs she’s already released and I can’t wait for the full album, which is set for March 10. She’ll be performing the first single of the album Living For Love at the Grammys and the music video is rumored to hit the internet February 14.

I’m in love with all I’ve listened to from this new era from the Queen of Pop and I really want to see what else she’s got in her pocket. I can’t wait to see all the surprises she has for her fans. Check out the full track list of the album below! Continue reading

Giorgio Moroder + Kylie Minogue – Right Here, Right Now

Giorgio Moroder - Kylie Minogue - Right Here Right Now

I’ve been reading rumors of this for a long time and now it’s finally happening! I didn’t really know who Giorgio Moroder was before all these rumors started to spread, but he’s a very important dance producer who helped Daft Punk with their last hit album Random Access Memories.

The rumors are that he’s working on a solo album collaborating with many many big names such as Kylie Minogue and even Britney Spears!! The first single Right Here, Right Now featuring Kylie leaked a few days ago, but it wasn’t officially released until today. I really like it and I think the song fits perfectly with Kylie’s style.  Continue reading

Mariah Carey Announces Residency in Las Vegas

Mariah Carey was on The Ellen Degeneres Show this Thursday and she made a big announcement! She’s heading to Las Vegas to do her first residency at Caesar’s Palace. The show will be an updated version of her #1’s album, she has 18 number ones and she’ll be performing all of them every night.

She’s the solo artist with more number one hits in history and the best selling female artist of all time. She’s got one of the best voices in the world and it was about time she did this. Her last album didn’t go very well and I don’t understand why, I loved it!!  Continue reading

Madonna – Rebel Heart Preview

Madonna - Rebe Heart

Following Madonna‘s will I haven’t posted anything about the leak of 13 demos from her new album a few days ago. The Queen of Pop was very upset and asked to all her true fans to not listen to them claiming that they were just unfinished demos and nothing like the final product.

In response to the leaks she has now released 6 tracks herself on iTunes and I have to say that I’m really loving this preview of the album. It was rumored to be called Unapologetic Bitch or Iconic, but Madonna has revealed that it’s called Rebel Heart, which is the name of the first track that leaked weeks ago.  Continue reading

Britney Spears feat. Iggy Azalea + Women’s Health Cover

Britney Spears ft. Iggy Azalea

Britney Spears looks amazing on the cover of Women’s Health January 2015 issue and it looks like 2015 is going to be Britney’s year!! We’ve been hearing all kinds of rumors lately and one of them was finally confirmed!! It looks like a collaboration between the Princess of Pop and Iggy Azalea has been recorded and apparently it’s awesome!!

The Australian rapper confirmed it on her Twitter and it’s rumored to be released early on next year as the first single from Britney’s new album. This album has been very secretive and she hasn’t hint as many clues as she did with Britney Jean, so I don’t know what to expect from it!! I heard William Orbit is one of the main producers of the album so I’m just crying tears of happiness!! She should’ve taken him instead of Will.I.Am for her las album, he’s just amazing!! He produced Alien and also Madonna‘s Ray Of Light album, which is my favorite album from her!! Continue reading

Top 10 Christina Aguilera Singles

Top 10 Christina Aguilera Singles

Today is the 34th birthday of one of my favorite singers, Christina Aguilera. She’s been in the shadow of other artists like Britney Spears or Lady Gaga all her career, but unlike those she really has an outstanding voice and is highly talented. Don’t get me wrong, you all know by now that I LOVE Britney above all other artists in the pop music industry, but I have to be objective and we all know she doesn’t have the greatest of voices, which doesn’t mean she can’t sing, she can and I love her voice, but Christina’s voice is just amazing. No wonder why she’s been named The Voice Of A Generation.

She’s known to be shady and very rude, but I don’t know her personally so I’m not gonna judge her for that. I’ve always loved her music since I was a kid and I love all her albums. Some more than others, Lotus was a big disappointment for me, but in general they’re all pretty amazing, especially Stripped and Back To BasicsContinue reading

2015 Golden Globe Awards Nominations

2015 Golden Globe Awards Nominations

The other day nominations for next year’s Golden Globe Awards were released! I haven’t seen many of the movies or TV shows that are nominated, but a lot of my favorite actors are on this year’s categories. For example we have Jennifer Aniston nominated for her role in the indie movie Cake and Jake Gyllenhaal for his role in Nightcrawler.

On TV some of the highlights are Game Of Thrones, nominated for best drama series, Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates for their roles in American Horror Story and Allison Janney for MomContinue reading

One Direction won top artist in general as well as the top duo/group artist. Pharrell Wiliams‘ Happy was top Hot 100 song of the year and Frozen‘s soundtrack the top Billboard 200 album! Check some of the charts below! Continue reading

All Time 100 Sexiest Women in the World

All Time 100 Sexiest Women In The World

One of my most successful posts or at least one of the most viewed was my list of this year’s most sexiest women. Like I explained in that post, for me being sexy is not just having a great body with big boobs and an amazing butt. For me sexy is a personality thing, is an attitude. A good sense of humor or a badass attitude are way more sexy than a woman with a big ass.

That’s why I do my list every year where I pick the 100 sexiest women in the world based not only in those qualities, but also in their work every year. Maybe one actress is hotter than other, but she hasn’t done a movie in two years, that makes her go down on the list. Or a singer with no new music or presence in the media will go down as well.  Continue reading

iTunes Year-End Lists 2014

iTunes Year-End Lists 014

Apple also released a list of Best Of naming Beyoncé this year’s best artist and Taylor Swift‘s 1989 the best album. Guardians Of The Galaxy was crowned as the best blockbuster and Fargo the best TV show. Check out all the lists and categories below!  Continue reading

Grammy 2015 Nominations

Grammy Nominations

Yesterday the nominations for 2015’s Grammy Awards were finally announced and there’re a few surprises! I’ve never known the difference between Song Of The Year and Record Of The Year, so if anyone would tell me in the comments it’d be very nice.

Meghan Trainor got two nominations for her hit All About That Bass and I don’t know why, I know it’s been huge all over the world, but I guess I don’t like so much and I don’t really think it deserves a Grammy.

Ariana Grande has two nominations as well and I know I’ve promised not to talk bad about anyone in this blog so I’m just going to keep my opinion to myself, but you can guess what I think about this.

Beyoncé has FIVE nominations and this makes her the most nominated female artist in the history of the Grammys!! Cool right? Just another record for Queen B’s list!!

Last but not least Iggy Azalea has four nominations, she even got nominated for Best Rap Album!! Haters gonna hate, but I love her and she really deserves that, 2014 has been Iggy’s year and I wish her all the best!

I’m not a huge Taylor Swift fan, but I quite like some of the things I’ve heard from her last album and I have to admit Shake It Off has been stuck in my head since I first listened so congratulations for her three nominations as well!

Check out some of the nomination categories (the ones I really care about) below!! I highlighted my votes in blue so you can see my opinion! Continue reading

Lana Del Rey – Big Eyes + I Can Fly

Lana Del Rey

Two songs from Tim Burton‘s new movie Big Eyes composed by Lana Del Rey leaked yesterday and they’re beyond amazing!! I love every soundtrack she’s made to date, especially Young & Beautiful from The Great Gatsby. These two songs are just as good as her previous work and I’m in love right now with both of them!

I hope this time she gets at least an Oscar nomination because she deserved it one last year and she didn’t get it because of the time the Gatsby movie premiered.  Continue reading

Celebrating Britney Spears Birthday!!

Britney Spears all eras

Today is my second favorite day in December. It’s Britney Spears’ birthday and she deserves a good celebration!! I’ve done so many lists about her that I didn’t know what to do to make it special, so a decided that I’m just going to share some of my favorite Britney songs from all her eras, from her debut with …Baby One More Time to her latest album Britney Jean.

I’ve loved Britney since I was a kid and I will always love her no matter what, even in her darkest moments I’ve always supported her and I’ll always will. She’s one of the most iconic and influential artists in pop music and you can say whatever you want about her, but you can’t deny that without her the music wouldn’t be what it’s today!  Continue reading

New Music from Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Rihanna and More!!

Gwen Stefani - Spark The Fire

Hi everyone! First I wanted to apologize for not posting in so long. There’s been a lot happening in the music scene lately and I have a few movie reviews pending, but I’ve been so busy that I haven’t been able to publish anything!

So, this past two weeks we’ve got lots of new music form some of my favorite artists in the world! First Beyoncé released the Platinum Edition from her latest album and the music video for her new single 7/11. I was very excited about this re-release, but after listening to the new songs I’ve decided I’m not going to buy it. First time I listened I hated, like seriously both songs, now I’m obsessed with 7/11. It shows a different side of Bey and it really grew on me with only too listens. Ring Off is not that bad either but for me it’s kind of blah, I get why it wasn’t included in the original album. The remixes are terrible, the only one I was excited about was the Blow remix with Pharrell Williams, but it was just the exact same song with him singing some lines. Anyways, check out the music video for 7/11 below and let me know what do you thing about this re-release in the comments!  Continue reading

Aaliyah: The Princess Of R&B Review

Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B

I’ve been waiting for this movie for a long time and I have to say I’m a little bit disappointed. I’m not surprised though. It’s just a pretty mediocre TV movie and Aaliyah deserves much more than this. Her family wasn’t on board with this project and that was a huge turn off for me, I wanted to respect their will but at the same time I wanted to know a little bit more about her.

I’ve said this before, I love Aaliyah and she’s one of my favorite singers ever, but she wasn’t as huge in Spain as she was in the US and the rest of the world, so I didn’t really knew her until she died. I don’t know to what extent this movie is true but that’s the main reason I watched, to get to know her a little bit more.  Continue reading
