Rumors that Beyoncé is planning to release a second surprise album have been surrounding the web lately. It all started because a memo with a confirmation of this release was leaked earlier this week. In that memo we could see that the new album would be some kind of deluxe edition of her latest record with some new tracks and a few remixes and features from singers like Rihanna, Justin Timberlake or Nicki Minaj.
Yesterday Queen B shut the rumors down and posted a photo on her social media explaining that this was just a re-release of the album with two new tracks, four remixes and more. Check out all the new material that this Platinum Edition will include below! Continue reading →
I told you on Saturday that Gwen Stefani was releasing a new single today and it’s finally here! I told you guys how excited I was for the news, but now I’m telling you I’m very disappointed. First time I listened I didn’t really like it, then with a few more listens it grew a little on me, but still I’m not loving it.
I was expecting a lot more from Miss Stefani, she’s always been so ahead of the pop tendencies, her past two solo albums were beyond amazing, but this song is just like any other song on the charts today. Again, I don’t hate it and I know it grew more and more on me, but I’m very disappointed. Listen to the song below and judge yourselves! Continue reading →
OMG!!! This is the best music news in years!!! Gwen Stefani joined the cast of The Voice this season to promote a new solo album she’s working on as well as a No Doubt album. I thought she was starting to record the album and that it’d take a long time until we got to listen to any of the new music.
Well, it looks like she has already finished the first single called Baby Don’t Lie and she will release it as soon as next Monday!!!!! Seriously, this is sick, this is shocking, I can’t wait to listen to it!!! GOD, this is just what I needed!!! Thanks Gwen for this amazing news!!!!
Check out the single art work above!!! Seriously, I’m dying right now, I just don’t know what to say!!!!! This Monday won’t be as bad as it normally is, haha.
Last night was the second part of the premiere of The Voice with new coaches Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams. I only watched the first season of this show because of Christina Aguilera, it was good, but not good enough to keep watching for 7 seasons.
I did watch these two episodes because I’ve always loved Gwen and No Doubt and I wanted to see her on TV. The best thing that comes out of this is that she’s announced she’s working in both a new solo album and a new No Doubt album!!! Isn’t this awesome??? Continue reading →
I finally got to watch Beyoncé and Jay-Z‘s On The Run HBO Special! I aired on Saturday, but since I live in Spain I couldn’t watch then and had to wait until today to see it. There hasn’t been any videos or anything for two days, you know, they rule the world! Haha.
I went to see Bey at her own tour earlier this year and I really enjoyed it. It was one of the best experiences of my life and when I discover later that she was going on tour with Jay just afterwards I was so mad!!! Now I can say that both concerts were epic, but her Mrs. Carter Show has nothing to envy this tour. Continue reading →
Beyoncé‘s birthday is over, but what good celebration doesn’t last for more than one day? I realized the other day that I’ve never done a Top 10 with my favorite Queen B singles and that’s terrible!
I did a countdown with my favorite Bey songs of all time waiting for the date of her concert in Lisbon back in April, but I had to delete those posts because I didn’t think fit well the thematic of this blog. Continue reading →
I wasn’t at home Sunday night when this year’s MTV Video Music Awards aired and I’ve been looking all day where to watch them and finally I did. So, I just finished watching the show and though it wasn’t as amazing as they used to be back in the 90s and early 2000s it was much better than last year’s show.
I really liked many of the performances like Taylor Swift and Iggy Azalea with Rita Ora. I disagree with some of the winners, but generally speaking the show was quite good. Continue reading →
One of my first posts was a list with my favorite music moments from The OC. I felt like there were many many more great moments than 10 and I promised I was going to do another list. It’s been a long time since that first post and I hadn’t done the part 2 yet, but this is a special post. This is my number 100 post!!!
So I decided it was the right time to do this. To celebrate my 100 posts and my favorite TV show of all time. Here are another Top 10 music moments from The OC. (Check out part 1 here!) Continue reading →
Hilary Duff has finally released her new comeback single Chasing The Sun. Because I had pre-ordered it on iTunes I could download it yesterday night and spent hors listening to it and today I woke up to watch the music video for the song.
This song is exactly what I wanted and what I was expecting from her. It’s a very cute, fun and carefree summer song and it reminds me a lot of Hilary’s past albums with a little more mature sound. Continue reading →
One of the best things from Disney movies are the songs, I think we can all agree with that. I think what was missing in most of the latest Disney classics was the music, but thankfully they’re incorporating it again and as we can see in Frozen, it’s coming better than ever!
There’re too many great Disney songs and I think everybody has their own favorites, so I decided to make my Top 10 list here.
Earlier this week I told you Hilary Duff was making her music comeback very soon. (Read it here!) She just announced the title of the new single Chasing The Sun along with it’s cover art and it’s available for pre-order on iTunes. Of course, I’ve already pre-ordered mine!!
I’v always complained about Rihanna releasing a new album every year, I like when artists take time to make music, plus with an album per year she had singles coming almost every month and it’s kind of tiring. In fact there was a time when I got sick of her music because of that reason.
However, it’s been almost two years since her last album Unapologetic came out and I miss new music from her!! I think this last album was one of her best ones and can’t wait to see and of course listen to what she’s creating for the next one.
OMG!!! I can’t believe this is finally happening!!! It’s been seven years since Hilary Duff released her last studio album and as you may know, she’s been working on new music for a while. She has uploaded pictures with Ed Sheeran and different writers and producers to her Instagram and now she has announced that her first single is arriving next week!!
I’m shock!! I’ve been waiting for new Hilary music since forever and I can’t believe it’s going to be here so soon!! According to Voss NY City she’ll be premiering the new song, the collab with Sheeran on Thursday at Marquee and she’s already confirmed it via Twitter!!
So, yesterday I did the part one of a list with my Top 10 music picks from the 80’s. Check it out here! I chose songs from the first half of the decade (1980-1984) so I could have more variety and promise to do the second part of the list soon.
Don’t wait more, here are the Top 10 Smashes from the second half of the 80’s (1985-1989). Again I only chose one song per artist to include as many different styles as possible!
If you’ve read my blog before, you’d probably know I love Mariah Carey. I’m going to be honest and say I’m not a long time fan, of course I knew her and had heard some of her hits before, but it wasn’t until five years ago that I started listening to her music.
Since then, I’ve been a huge Mariah fan and she’s become one of my favorite artists of all time, if not my favorite. I just adore her music and the fact that she writes and produces all of her songs is just really impressive. Add her angelical and captivating voice to the mix and you have one of the most talent women in music.
There’s been a lot of controversy around Aaliyah‘s name lately. Lifetime is planing to do a TV movie about the late singer, but production has been put on hold because her family wanted the movie to be in theaters and not on TV, so they wouldn’t give them the rights of Aaliyah’s music. Also fans were upset about their choice, Disney Channel star Zendaya to portray her.
I have to agree that I don’t really like Zendaya, in fact, I don’t really like any of the Disney starts from today. I guess it’s because I didn’t grow up with them, but I find them all annoying.
I hope Lifetime and Aaliyah’s family get to an agreement, because I was really hoping to see this movie. Unfortunately Aaliyah was not so popular here in Spain and I didn’t know of her until she was already dead. I remember first heard of her when I watched her movie Queen Of The Damned.
Today I’ve been listening to Britney Spears music all day. It’s been a while since I give Brit a good listen and I remember few months ago I did a Top 10 with Britney’s non single songs, but I’ve never done a singles Top 10.
So, I decided it was time I did this. I mean, Britney has some of the most iconic songs of pop music’s history and she sure is one of the most important icons in pop culture.
Every year Maxim, FHM, Esquire, GQ and many men magazine release their lists of the hottest or sexiest women in the world. I rarely agree with all their lists, they choose women with big boobs and gigantic asses, but in my opinion, a good sense of humor and good looks is way more sexy than that.
That’s why every year I do my own list of women with my own concept of what is sexy in mind. I know sometimes my taste is odd, but I hope you enjoy this list of amazing and talented women and share your thoughts with me in the comments.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z kicked off their summer tour On The Run last night in Miami. As you may know, I went to see Beyoncé las April in Lisbon. It was the last concert of her Mrs. Carter world tour and it was incredibly amazing. So, when I found out they were going to make another tour together I freaked out. Unfortunately they’re only touring in America and Paris.
Anyways, I don’t know many of the Jay songs, but Bey’s set is amazing!!! She’s singing a lot of my favorites that she didn’t sing on her tour, I especially love that she’s singing many of her B’Day hits. Check out the setlist and some photos of the concert below:
