Britney Spears has demonstrated she’s still got it and she’s still relevant. She’s won over big stars like Beyoncé or Rihanna on Billboard‘s Best of 2010s (So Far) polls. They chose a list of 10 best songs, best albums, best music videos and most defining artist of this first half of the decade and readers voted their three favorites.
The results are in and Britney is on top of three of the four lists. She won best song with Till The World Ends, best video with Work Bitch and most defining artist of the decade (so far). Haters gonna hate, but Britney is still the Princess of Pop and she’s still one of the most influential artists of all time. Check the full lists below! Continue reading →
I’ve been reading rumors of this for a long time and now it’s finally happening! I didn’t really know who Giorgio Moroder was before all these rumors started to spread, but he’s a very important dance producer who helped Daft Punk with their last hit album Random Access Memories.
The rumors are that he’s working on a solo album collaborating with many many big names such as Kylie Minogue and even Britney Spears!! The first single Right Here, Right Now featuring Kylie leaked a few days ago, but it wasn’t officially released until today. I really like it and I think the song fits perfectly with Kylie’s style. Britney Spears looks amazing on the cover of Women’s Health January 2015 issue and it looks like 2015 is going to be Britney’s year!! We’ve been hearing all kinds of rumors lately and one of them was finally confirmed!! It looks like a collaboration between the Princess of Pop and Iggy Azalea has been recorded and apparently it’s awesome!!
The Australian rapper confirmed it on her Twitter and it’s rumored to be released early on next year as the first single from Britney’s new album. This album has been very secretive and she hasn’t hint as many clues as she did with Britney Jean, so I don’t know what to expect from it!! I heard William Orbit is one of the main producers of the album so I’m just crying tears of happiness!! She should’ve taken him instead of Will.I.Am for her las album, he’s just amazing!! He produced Alien and also Madonna‘s Ray Of Light album, which is my favorite album from her!! Continue reading →
Today is the 34th birthday of one of my favorite singers, Christina Aguilera. She’s been in the shadow of other artists like Britney Spears or Lady Gaga all her career, but unlike those she really has an outstanding voice and is highly talented. Don’t get me wrong, you all know by now that I LOVE Britney above all other artists in the pop music industry, but I have to be objective and we all know she doesn’t have the greatest of voices, which doesn’t mean she can’t sing, she can and I love her voice, but Christina’s voice is just amazing. No wonder why she’s been named The Voice Of A Generation.
She’s known to be shady and very rude, but I don’t know her personally so I’m not gonna judge her for that. I’ve always loved her music since I was a kid and I love all her albums. Some more than others, Lotus was a big disappointment for me, but in general they’re all pretty amazing, especially Stripped and Back To Basics. Continue reading →
A few days ago iTunes released their lists with best selling songs, movies and TV shows of the year. Now Billboard has released their year end charts naming Katy Perry the top female artist, Justin Timberlake the top male artist and Iggy Azalea the top new artist.
One Direction won top artist in general as well as the top duo/group artist. Pharrell Wiliams‘ Happy was top Hot 100 song of the year and Frozen‘s soundtrack the top Billboard 200 album! Check some of the charts below! Continue reading →
One of my most successful posts or at least one of the most viewed was my list of this year’s most sexiest women. Like I explained in that post, for me being sexy is not just having a great body with big boobs and an amazing butt. For me sexy is a personality thing, is an attitude. A good sense of humor or a badass attitude are way more sexy than a woman with a big ass.
That’s why I do my list every year where I pick the 100 sexiest women in the world based not only in those qualities, but also in their work every year. Maybe one actress is hotter than other, but she hasn’t done a movie in two years, that makes her go down on the list. Or a singer with no new music or presence in the media will go down as well. Today is my second favorite day in December. It’s Britney Spears’ birthday and she deserves a good celebration!! I’ve done so many lists about her that I didn’t know what to do to make it special, so a decided that I’m just going to share some of my favorite Britney songs from all her eras, from her debut with …Baby One More Time to her latest album Britney Jean.
I’ve loved Britney since I was a kid and I will always love her no matter what, even in her darkest moments I’ve always supported her and I’ll always will. She’s one of the most iconic and influential artists in pop music and you can say whatever you want about her, but you can’t deny that without her the music wouldn’t be what it’s today! A few days ago I told you how much I love horror movies and that it’s one of my favorite movie genres, but my true favorite movies are the animated movies! I was thinking about my favorite animated movies and it was very difficult to choose only ten to do a Top 10, but I did my best to put some of what I consider the best animated movies there are and put them on this list.
I’ve always preferred traditional animation and I don’t like that it’s being forgotten nowadays. There’re not many new traditional movies today, everything is on 3D and CGI, which is great too, but I just prefer traditional, I find it more special, maybe because I love drawing and hope to become a good illustrator. To celebrate the success of Marvel‘s Guardians Of The Galaxy, here’re my top 10 red carpet looks from one of the stars of the movie and sure one of the most beautiful women in the world, Zoe Saldana.
Guardians Of The Galaxy hasn’t been released in Spain yet, the premiere will be August 14th here, but I’ve always liked Zoe and I’m sure she’s gonna be awesome in that movie too. I’ve liked here since one of her first roles in Britney Spears‘ movie Crossroads and I loved her even more recently when she jumped to defend Britney and say she’s got lots of respect for her and that she’s one of the most humbled and greatest people she’s ever met in Hollywood. There are lots of great comic books that haven’t been adapted into movies yet that I would really like to see in the big screen. Now the superheroes are the biggest Hollywood money makers, but there’re a bunch of indie comics that are awesome too and of course some superheroes that haven’t been on screen yet.
I love strong, powerful and fearless women, those are my favorite characters and I love when they are leading characters in comic books. I also love when superheroes are funny and have a good personality like Spider-Man. Continue reading →
Today I’ve been listening to Britney Spears music all day. It’s been a while since I give Brit a good listen and I remember few months ago I did a Top 10 with Britney’s non single songs, but I’ve never done a singles Top 10.
So, I decided it was time I did this. I mean, Britney has some of the most iconic songs of pop music’s history and she sure is one of the most important icons in pop culture.
Every year Maxim, FHM, Esquire, GQ and many men magazine release their lists of the hottest or sexiest women in the world. I rarely agree with all their lists, they choose women with big boobs and gigantic asses, but in my opinion, a good sense of humor and good looks is way more sexy than that.
That’s why every year I do my own list of women with my own concept of what is sexy in mind. I know sometimes my taste is odd, but I hope you enjoy this list of amazing and talented women and share your thoughts with me in the comments.
Yesterday I bought Britney Spears‘ Greatest Hits: My Prerogative DVD. I’ve seen it many times in different music stores, but I never bought it because I’ve always thought it was just a compilation of music videos. Yesterday I had some extra money and it had a low price so I bought it and when I saw it today I was fully surprised. It has lots of extras for most of the music videos and it was awesome to see how many of them would’ve been even greater than they already are.
As I’ve said many times, the 90s is my favorite decade in terms of music, movies, fashion and everything. One of the best things of the 90s was the beginning of the new Bubblegum Pop music genre that was made popular by teen artists like Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and the boy band and girl ban phenomenon at the end of the 90s and the early 2000s.
I loved this kind of music growing up and I still enjoy listening to it from time to time. Today is one of those days when I feel like a teenager again and I only want to listen to all these songs. So here are my Top 10 favorite bubblegum pop songs! find out below:
I know you all have probably heard about Michael Jackson‘s new album that is gonna be released this year. It will consist on a series of reworked old demos that Michael recorded. At first I wasn’t very convinced about this project, but I’ve listened to what it’s supposed to be the first single Xscape and I really really like it! You can listen here!
What I like the most about this is that this is a normal and classic Michael Jackson song and not like they did with Hold My Hand, which has nothing to do with Michael’s style. They tried to make a contemporary song and they created the worst song I’ve heard from the King.
There are lots of teen idols today and I have to say I don’t like any of them!! Miley Cyrus maybe, but the other ones I just don’t like them. In my teenage days there were many different and amazing teen idols that I admired a lot. My favorite singers and actors that appeared in my favorite movies or in hit TV shows.
This Sunday are the 2014 MTV Movie Awards. I was voting on MTV’s website and I found one category that really caught my attention, Best Musical Moment.
It gave the idea to do a Top 10 with my favorite musical moments from my favorite movies. I mean it isn’t about the soundtrack of the movies, it’s gonna be a list of those moments when the actors randomly start singing and dancing.
If you read my Top 10 Females in Pop post, you already know Britney Spears is my favorite singer. You can say she hasn’t the greatest voice or that she doesn’t dance as good as she used to, but one thing you can’t deny is that she’s an icon and one of the biggest impacts in Pop Culture.
From her debut album …Baby One More Time to her latest record Britney Jean, she’s had some of the best selling and most famous singles in pop music history. I love all her singles, but the songs I love the most are those that not everybody knows, those only true fans know and love.
Yesterday I was telling you how much I love the music from the 90’s and I did my Top10 Jams from the first half of the decade. Today it’s time for the five last year of this great era. Britney, Spice Girls, there were so many good acts that it’s gonna be difficult to choose only ten songs!!
The other day I posted my favorite hits from the first half of the past decade. Now is time to choose the songs that made me crazy from 2006 to 2010! Again I will only include one song per artist so it’s fair to everyone!
