Grammy 2015 Nominations

Grammy Nominations

Yesterday the nominations for 2015’s Grammy Awards were finally announced and there’re a few surprises! I’ve never known the difference between Song Of The Year and Record Of The Year, so if anyone would tell me in the comments it’d be very nice.

Meghan Trainor got two nominations for her hit All About That Bass and I don’t know why, I know it’s been huge all over the world, but I guess I don’t like so much and I don’t really think it deserves a Grammy.

Ariana Grande has two nominations as well and I know I’ve promised not to talk bad about anyone in this blog so I’m just going to keep my opinion to myself, but you can guess what I think about this.

Beyoncé has FIVE nominations and this makes her the most nominated female artist in the history of the Grammys!! Cool right? Just another record for Queen B’s list!!

Last but not least Iggy Azalea has four nominations, she even got nominated for Best Rap Album!! Haters gonna hate, but I love her and she really deserves that, 2014 has been Iggy’s year and I wish her all the best!

I’m not a huge Taylor Swift fan, but I quite like some of the things I’ve heard from her last album and I have to admit Shake It Off has been stuck in my head since I first listened so congratulations for her three nominations as well!

Check out some of the nomination categories (the ones I really care about) below!! I highlighted my votes in blue so you can see my opinion! Continue reading

Reincarnation – Chanel

Cara Delevingne - Reincarnation

Cara Delevingne reincarnates Sissi in the new Karl Lagerfeld directed short film for Chanel. She was joined by singer Pharrell Williams and french actress Géraldine Chaplin as Coco Chanel to promote the Chanel Paris-Salzburg 2014/15 Métiers d’art collection. Both Cara and Pharrell will also be the face of the upcoming collection.

The short film is magnificent and tell us the story of how Coco Chanel invented the typical Chanel jacket. It features the song Cc The World sang, written and produced by Pharrell with some vocals by the super model. Check out the full short film below!  Continue reading

New Music from Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Rihanna and More!!

Gwen Stefani - Spark The Fire

Hi everyone! First I wanted to apologize for not posting in so long. There’s been a lot happening in the music scene lately and I have a few movie reviews pending, but I’ve been so busy that I haven’t been able to publish anything!

So, this past two weeks we’ve got lots of new music form some of my favorite artists in the world! First Beyoncé released the Platinum Edition from her latest album and the music video for her new single 7/11. I was very excited about this re-release, but after listening to the new songs I’ve decided I’m not going to buy it. First time I listened I hated, like seriously both songs, now I’m obsessed with 7/11. It shows a different side of Bey and it really grew on me with only too listens. Ring Off is not that bad either but for me it’s kind of blah, I get why it wasn’t included in the original album. The remixes are terrible, the only one I was excited about was the Blow remix with Pharrell Williams, but it was just the exact same song with him singing some lines. Anyways, check out the music video for 7/11 below and let me know what do you thing about this re-release in the comments!  Continue reading

Beyoncé: Platinum Edition

Beyoncé

Rumors that Beyoncé is planning to release a second surprise album have been surrounding the web lately. It all started because a memo with a confirmation of this release was leaked earlier this week. In that memo we could see that the new album would be some kind of deluxe edition of her latest record with some new tracks and a few remixes and features from singers like Rihanna, Justin Timberlake or Nicki Minaj.

Yesterday Queen B shut the rumors down and posted a photo on her social media explaining that this was just a re-release of the album with two new tracks, four remixes and more. Check out all the new material that this Platinum Edition will include below!  Continue reading

Top 10 Gwen Stefani + No Doubt Singles

Last night was the second part of the premiere of The Voice with new coaches Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams. I only watched the first season of this show because of Christina Aguilera, it was good, but not good enough to keep watching for 7 seasons.

I did watch these two episodes because I’ve always loved Gwen and No Doubt and I wanted to see her on TV. The best thing that comes out of this is that she’s announced she’s working in both a new solo album and a new No Doubt album!!! Isn’t this awesome???  Continue reading

Top 10 Britney Spears Singles

Today I’ve been listening to Britney Spears music all day. It’s been a while since I give Brit a good listen and I remember few months ago I did a Top 10 with Britney’s non single songs, but I’ve never done a singles Top 10.

So, I decided it was time I did this. I mean, Britney has some of the most iconic songs of pop music’s history and she sure is one of the most important icons in pop culture.
