Grammy 2015 Nominations

Grammy Nominations

Yesterday the nominations for 2015’s Grammy Awards were finally announced and there’re a few surprises! I’ve never known the difference between Song Of The Year and Record Of The Year, so if anyone would tell me in the comments it’d be very nice.

Meghan Trainor got two nominations for her hit All About That Bass and I don’t know why, I know it’s been huge all over the world, but I guess I don’t like so much and I don’t really think it deserves a Grammy.

Ariana Grande has two nominations as well and I know I’ve promised not to talk bad about anyone in this blog so I’m just going to keep my opinion to myself, but you can guess what I think about this.

Beyoncé has FIVE nominations and this makes her the most nominated female artist in the history of the Grammys!! Cool right? Just another record for Queen B’s list!!

Last but not least Iggy Azalea has four nominations, she even got nominated for Best Rap Album!! Haters gonna hate, but I love her and she really deserves that, 2014 has been Iggy’s year and I wish her all the best!

I’m not a huge Taylor Swift fan, but I quite like some of the things I’ve heard from her last album and I have to admit Shake It Off has been stuck in my head since I first listened so congratulations for her three nominations as well!

Check out some of the nomination categories (the ones I really care about) below!! I highlighted my votes in blue so you can see my opinion! Continue reading

Beyoncé: Platinum Edition

Beyoncé

Rumors that Beyoncé is planning to release a second surprise album have been surrounding the web lately. It all started because a memo with a confirmation of this release was leaked earlier this week. In that memo we could see that the new album would be some kind of deluxe edition of her latest record with some new tracks and a few remixes and features from singers like Rihanna, Justin Timberlake or Nicki Minaj.

Yesterday Queen B shut the rumors down and posted a photo on her social media explaining that this was just a re-release of the album with two new tracks, four remixes and more. Check out all the new material that this Platinum Edition will include below!  Continue reading

On The Run: Beyoncé & Jay-Z HBO Special Review

Beyoncé - On The Run Tour

I finally got to watch Beyoncé and Jay-Z‘s On The Run HBO Special! I aired on Saturday, but since I live in Spain I couldn’t watch then and had to wait until today to see it. There hasn’t been any videos or anything for two days, you know, they rule the world! Haha.

I went to see Bey at her own tour earlier this year and I really enjoyed it. It was one of the best experiences of my life and when I discover later that she was going on tour with Jay just afterwards I was so mad!!! Now I can say that both concerts were epic, but her Mrs. Carter Show has nothing to envy this tour.  Continue reading

Top 10 Red Carpet Looks – Beyoncé

Beyoncé

Today is Beyoncé‘s 33rd birthday and she deserves a good celebration. She’s been one of my favorite artists since I was a kid and her music has been a huge influence in my life. Since she started with Destiny’s Child until today she’s remained one of the most successful females in pop music.

But it’s not only her music what makes me love her so much. Her style and her persona are a big part of her reign, as you know she’s Queen B, and I decided to celebrate her birthday choosing my favorite red carpet looks she’s worn over the years.  Continue reading

MTV Video Music Awards 2014 Recap

Beyoncé - VMAs 2014

I wasn’t at home Sunday night when this year’s MTV Video Music Awards aired and I’ve been looking all day where to watch them and finally I did. So, I just finished watching the show and though it wasn’t as amazing as they used to be back in the 90s and early 2000s it was much better than last year’s show.

I really liked many of the performances like Taylor Swift and Iggy Azalea with Rita Ora. I disagree with some of the winners, but generally speaking the show was quite good.  Continue reading

Beyoncé & Jay-Z – On The Run

OnTheRun_HeaderImage

Beyoncé and Jay-Z kicked off their summer tour On The Run last night in Miami. As you may know, I went to see Beyoncé las April in Lisbon. It was the last concert of her Mrs. Carter world tour and it was incredibly amazing. So, when I found out they were going to make another tour together I freaked out. Unfortunately they’re only touring in America and Paris.

Anyways, I don’t know many of the Jay songs, but Bey’s set is amazing!!! She’s singing a lot of my favorites that she didn’t sing on her tour, I especially love that she’s singing many of her B’Day hits. Check out the setlist and some photos of the concert below:
