Hey guys I’m coming with bad news. I have too many things going on with my classes and now we have to start with the final project and I’m very stressed out. We’re creating a blog for my Digital Design class and it has to be from Blogger and not WordPress, plus it has to be in Spanish.
I can’t keep up with two blogs so I’m going to have to stop posting on this one for a while. If you are still interested in the stuff I regularly post here you might want to check out my other blog. If you don’t speak Spanish you can use the translator on the bottom of the page.
Rumors have been floating that Halle Berry, Famke Janssen and James Marsden were going to be replaced in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse movie. I didn’t believe it, because of how X-Men: Days Of Future Past ended. It fixed all the mess that The Last Stand left and I was very happy that the original cast was coming back.
However, the director Brian Singer announced yesterday that a new generation of actors has joined the cast of Apocalypse to play the roles of Storm, Jean Grey and Cyclops. I don’t know wether they will replace the original cast or they will be playing younger versions of the characters, I hope the second.
I have to say that, although I prefer the original cast, I’m quite happy with the choices they made here. Check the casting for these mutants below! Continue reading →
A friend of mine told me the other day that a Supergirl TV show was in the making and I can’t believe I didn’t know anything about it!! I did some research and here’s everything I could find!
The series will probably air next year on CBS and it will follow the adventures of a 20-something year old Kara Zor-El who decides to embrace her powers and become a warrior. This will offer some modern superhero drama like other DC Comics shows such as Arrow and more recently The Flash. Continue reading →
Stan Lee has said in a Q&A session celebrating Spider-Man’s 75th Anniversary that Marvel Studios is very interested in making a movie crossing the Spider-Man franchise, the Marvel Cinematic Universe and FOX properties such as X-Men and Fantastic Four.
I already told you that Captain America 3 is going to be about Civil War and I’d love if they put all these characters together in that movie!! Continue reading →
A few months ago Warner Bros revealed their DC Comics movie schedule. I didn’t report it because I think they’re just copying Marvel and DC movies, except Christopher Nolan‘s Batman trilogy, are not very good. One of the movies that caught my attention though was the Suicide Squad movie, planned for Summer 2016.
Now they’ve revealed the cast for the movie and you won’t believe who’s in!! The movie will be filled with A List stars and it looks really good. I’ve never read any comics, but the storyline is very interesting. For those of you who don’t know what the Suicide Squad is, it’s a group of villains hired by the US Government to work for them so they have prison privileges or their sentences reduced. Check out the cast below! Continue reading →
The second phase of Marvel‘s Cinematic Universe will come to an end next year when Avengers: Age Of Ultron hits cinemas on May 1st, but the company has just announced which projects will be part of phase three and a few details about some of them.
They announced eight new project release dates and their title artwork that will form phase three of the Cinematic Universe along with the already announced Ant-Man starring Paul Rudd and released on July 17th of 2015. Here’re all the new movies info in chronological order! Continue reading →
Last night Marvel released the first teaser for Avengers: Age Of Ultron and it’s epic!!! The first Avengers movie is one of the best superhero films ever and knowing Marvel’s tendency to surpass themselves in each movie, this one is going to be incredible!!
The movie doesn’t come out until May,but I hope this new teaser means we’ll be well entertained and informed with new trailers, pictures and details from the movie from now on!! Check out the teaser below! Continue reading →
Hey guys, I know I haven’t ben posting for a while, but I was in a family trip to New York this past week and I took that time off! I’ll talk to you about this amazing vacation in an other post, so now I’ll be focusing on all the TV I missed this week and I’ve caught up with in the past two or three days!
I’m going to talk about all my favorite shows in airing order and I hope I don’t miss anything! I’ve been so tired from the long trip (13 hours by plane from NY to my hometown) that watching all these shows has helped me rest and get over that exhaustion.
I finally got to watch Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. First of all I want to say that I’ve been 8 years waiting for this movie and I am so mad that it wasn’t released to Spanish cinemas. They are saying it’s because it flopped in the USA box office, but I think there’s more than that. It can’t be a coincidence that the last three movies Robert Rodriguez has done, Spy Kids 4, Machete Kills and now this one, didn’t make it to the cinemas here. If that was the case, many movies wouldn’t have come to Spain, not only this one. I think there’s something happening, but nobody seems to care as much as I do.
Anyways, going back to the film, I have to say that I really enjoyed it! I waited until I found a medium quality link to watch it online, because I refuse to wait until the DVD or Blu Ray comes next year, I think I’ve waited enough time!! Continue reading →
Monday night was also the premiere of DC Comics‘ new Tv show Gotham. I was very excited about this new series, especially because Ben McKenzie stars in it, but I have to say that he didn’t convince me as detective Jim Gordon, I couldn’t stop thinking about Ryan Atwood from The OC the whole time, he kept making the same facial expressions he did back then!!
I love the idea of the show, telling every Batman villain story from the beginning since Bruce Wayne was still a kid. I love that the whole plot of the show spins around the murder of his parents and you get to see how everyone is involved. Continue reading →
So, Disney Infinity 2.0 is almost here and I’m getting very excited with all the new features. I have to admit that I was a little bit disappointed with the first one, I loved playing the playsets, well, I only played Pirates Of The Caribbean, Monsters University, The Incredibles and Toy Story, but I really enjoyed them.
I also liked all the figures they released in the first game, but I didn’t like much the Toy Box. I consider myself a very creative person and I still found it very difficult to come up with something really cool. I liked some of the other users’ downloadable Toy Boxes, but it didn’t felt like I was playing a video game, most of them were just to explore and there wasn’t anything challenging at all. I just came back from the cinema. I finally went to see Marvel‘s Guardians Of The Galaxy and I have to say that I’m a little disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, the movie was good, but I was told it was way better than Avengers and I’m sorry but it isn’t. This movie isn’t by far in my Top 5 Marvel movies, not even counting the Marvel Cinematic Universe only.
Again, it’s a good entertaining movie and it’s very funny too, but there’re moments that the jokes are too forced (I don’t know if this expression exists in English, but I’m going to use it anyway, haha) and sometimes the characters are a little predictable. Continue reading →
There are lots of great comic books that haven’t been adapted into movies yet that I would really like to see in the big screen. Now the superheroes are the biggest Hollywood money makers, but there’re a bunch of indie comics that are awesome too and of course some superheroes that haven’t been on screen yet.
I love strong, powerful and fearless women, those are my favorite characters and I love when they are leading characters in comic books. I also love when superheroes are funny and have a good personality like Spider-Man. Continue reading →
Marvel has released new exclusive X-Men: Days Of Future Past posters featuring some of the characters. I wish they had all of them, but it’s only Mystique, Quicksilver, Wolverine and a Sentinel. Check the poster out below! Continue reading →
Marvel has finally revealed all the heroes concept arts for Avengers: Age Of Ultron at Comic Con and I have some good a bad opinions on them! I love the full picture with all the characters (above) , but if you look closely at them individually some of them aren’t that good.
One of the first posts I ever posted on this blog was a Top 10 list of female heroes from my favorite comics. (Check it out here!)
The truth is that I normally tend to like more the villains than the heroes and I don’t know why did it take me so long to do a list with my favorite ones. This happens to me not only reading comics, in movies and especially TV shows I always like the villains more than the heroes, my friends always tell me that if we lived in a comic book or a fantasy show I would be a villain, haha.
I know I haven’t posted anything in a while, but this past two weeks I’ve been hooked on The CW‘s show Arrow. I love comic books, but I’m more of a Marvel fan than a DC one. I mean, there’re lots of DC heroes that I really like, Batman, Wonder Woman, Supergirl and there’re even more DC villains that I love, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, The Joker, but I’ve never been a big fan of Green Arrow.
Two of my best friends have been insisting me to watch the show since it started in 2012, but I never listened to them.
The wait is finally over!! Today was the premiere of X-Men Days Of Future Past here in Spain and I had to see it as soon as possible. I’ve been waiting for this movie since the storyline of the Days Of Future Past comics was announced. It was supposed to be released May 25th in the world premiere of the movie, but it was delayed until today so I’ve been waiting longer than others.
Lets start saying that X-Men are my favorite Marvel heroes so this movie is a very big deal for me. I did notice that the movie was a rectification of all the mistakes they made with The Last Stand and First Class. Thank you Bryan Singer for saving and reviving this franchise that, in my opinion, died along with all the main characters in the last installment of the original X-Men trilogy.
I just got a copy of Aspen Comics‘ Lola XOXO issue 1, you can download it today on Comixology’s “Summer Reading List”. I’ve been waiting a long time to read this, Aspen hasn’t published anything in Spain after Fathom‘s Vol. 2, so I can only read what I find online or some of the issues I’ve purchased in London.
Anyways, I’ve been following artist Siya Oum for a while and I just love her style. It’s very similar to Michael Turner‘s who is my all time favorite comic book artist, but what she does with colors is amazing. I love that she mainly uses traditional techniques to color her pieces and, when I learned that she was working on her own comic series and that she was going to do it all alone and everything traditional, I got very excited.
