Maleficent Review

New-Maleficent-Banner

I just came home from the cinema. Maleficent was finally released and I had to go to the premiere. It wasn’t what I expected and I had some mixed feelings through the film, but I really loved it.

I really liked most of the changes they made, but in some aspects I preferred the classic Disney version of Sleeping Beauty. Still it’s great to watch both sides to the story.

Angelina Jolie was amazing as Maleficent. She looked gorgeous with those cheekbones and when she laughs she looks just stunning. I also loved Juno Temple‘s performance as one of the three good fairies, or may I say the three dumb fairies, haha. She was hilarious as always.

Top 10 Walt Disney World Rides

This morning I was feeling a little nostalgic and I decided to take a look at my last year’s Walt Disney World photos. It was the second time I’ve been there, first time was in 2001 when I was 9 years old.

It was very different from the first time, they had this New Fantasyland, which I fell in love with, but where I noticed the most differences was in the merchandising and stuff they sell now. Back in 2001 they had everything from every Disney movie and now they only have stuff from the new movies, Pixar movies and Disney Channel shows.

What I didn’t like at all was that they didn’t have any The Little Mermaid, Pocahontas or Sleeping Beauty merchandising, they only had Disney Princess stuff and everything was pink or sparkly, I could only get an Ariel keyring, but it was sparkly…

Anyways, I did have a great time because I could enjoy all the rides that I was afraid as a kid and the new ones they have. So here’re my Top 10 Walt Disney World rides from the four Disney Parks: Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Epcot. Find out below:

Top 10 Disney Movies – Part 2

postersSo, the day before yesterday I posted my first Top 10 favorite Disney movies, including movies from the 20th century only. So today it’s time for the second Top 10 with movies from the 21st century, including movies from Fantasia 2000 to last year’s Frozen.

I remind you this list does not include Pixar movies or other Disney features, just Disney Classics!

Top 10 Disney Movies – Part 1

10521400_720400931328267_1634529133_oI’ve been wanting to make this post for a very long time, but I didn’t know how to divide the Disney movies in two. I mean, it’s impossible to choose only 10 movies, all of them are beyond awesomeness so I wanted to divide it in two posts so I could chose 20 like I did with the 90s jams and the 2000s hits.

So I decided to divide them in centuries. This part will consist in movies from the 20th century, from Snow White to Tarzan and Part 2 will contain movies from the 21st century, from Fantasia 2000 to Frozen.

Top 10 Disney Channel Stars

I was watching TV last night and I changed to Disney Channel and I realized today’s shows aren’t as good as the shows I watched when I was a kid. Maybe is that I’m all grown up now and that’s why I don’t like it, but I love re-watching old episodes of Lizzie Mcguire or Hannah Montana.

I also noticed that the Disney stars aren’t as good either, so I started remembering of all the Disney stars from back in the day and I decided to do a list with my favorite actors from Disney Channel shows or original movies.

Top 10 Disney Princesses

One of my favorite things in the world are Disney movies and many of my favorites seem to have princesses on them. I’m a huge fan of the Disney Princesses but I hate when they do this sparkly and flowery designs to sell merchandising to little girls, it’s hideous.

Anyway, lets make a top 10 Disney Princesses in the movies and not in those ridiculous dresses and with all that make up! For this list I chose princesses from the official Disney Princess list which includes: Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, Rapunzel, Merida, Elsa and Anna as of 2014.

10. Cinderella (Cinderella)

I know she’s one of the “dumb” princesses, but I just love her dress! Well, I loved it in the original version of the movie when it was white, I don’t know why they turned it blue… She also teaches us to never stop dreaming and I just love her castle in Walt Disney World!!

9. Tiana (The Princess And The Frog)

She’s the only black princess and I love her! She’s a hard working young girl that teaches us we can get what we want if we Work B**ch! haha She ends up marrying a prince, but she earned everything she has by working.

8. Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)

Another of the “dumb” princesses, but I just think she’s one of the most beautiful ones. I think disney did a great job with her design and I love this scene when she wakes up from her eternal sleep. Gorgeous!

7. Belle (Beauty And The Beast)

I love Belle because she’s just like any other girl out there. She comes from a small village and dreams to run away and explore the world. She also teaches us to not judge a book for its cover and that true beauty is inside.

6. Jasmine (Aladdin)

She’s one of the few real princesses that didn’t need to marry a prince to become one. Furthermore, she doesn’t want to marry a prince, she wants to find her true love and doesn’t care if he’s a homeless guy who steals food to survive. Plus, she’s got a tiger as a pet! How cool is that?

5. Mulan (Mulan)

She’s the bravest disney princess and although I think she isn’t really a princess (Li Shang was not a prince), I just love that I can include her on this list. She cut her hair and went to war to save her father and she ends up saving China. Cool, right?

4. Rapunzel (Tangled)

In my opinion, she’s the funniest princess. She’s clumsy and easily scared, but that makes her unique and so fun to watch. Her voice actress is Mandy Moore so what else could we ask for? Rapunzel rocks!

3. Elsa (Frozen)

She and her sister are the newest addition to the list and oh man! Elsa is just amazing! With that frozen superpowers and that amazing and sparkly dress she just rocks. And her anthem Let It Go has been stuck in everyone minds since the movie was released!

2. Pocahontas (Pocahontas)

Another of the few original princesses, she’s the daughter of the king of her tribe and she isn’t afraid to confront him to change his mind. She’s also the most beautiful princess Disney has ever created and I just love her determination and everything about her. I just wish the second movie never existed and she didn’t become a slut! haha

1. Ariel (The Little Mermaid)

She’s also and original princess and she ends up reigning under and above water, she has two kingdoms just for herself, who else has that? Plus she’s a f**king mermaid!!!! She’s just awesome!!!
